International Conference on Contemporary Marketing Issues (ICCMI) - Corfu, 12-14 July 2023

17.07.2023

The Chair of International Business of the Universität Wien has co-organized the 11th ICCMI International Conference on Contemporary Marketing Issues together with the Department of Business Administration of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), in Corfu, Greece.

During the conference, Giulia Galizzi presented her paper titled “The Co-evolution of Family Firms’ Internationalization and Network Embeddedness Processes: A Longitudinal Case Study”, co-authored with Emmanuella Plakoyiannaki and Francesco Debellis.

The participation in ICCMI was also a great opportunity for two MSc students of the Chair, Julia Angi and Carina Nazarenus to present academic papers based on their theses. We congratulate them on their achievement and we encourage our students to participate in the next editions!

Our students' impressions:

Julia Angi: "It was an incredible experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity for a master student like me. I was honored to be at the conference as a student of our department with a great team, with the amazing support of Professor Plakoyiannaki, who helped me to prepare the presentation and encouraged me to do my best also during the conference, when I was terrified of presenting. I could meet many great people from all over the world , who were supportive and provided me with advice and exchange contacts with them."

Carina Nazarenus: "The participation at ICCMI Conference 2023 in Corfu was an amazing opportunity to get to know researchers from all over the world, learn about different research projects, present our own research project to the international audience and directly receive feedback from them. It is an overwhelming experience and an honour to see how your own Master thesis further develops by co-authoring with experienced researchers in order to create a scientific Conference Paper. A big thank you for this opportunity and the excllent support to Prof. Plakoyiannaki and Prof. Kalfadellis."
