Dr Spiros Batas joined the University of Vienna for a second time to discuss the importance of networks and new ventures for international business activity in the course Foundations of International Business led by Prof. Dr. Emmanuella Plakoyiannaki. His contribution of knowledge and experience was very valuable to the students, who followed the guest lecture with a lot of excitement. While this was the second time Dr. Batas was with us, we still have not had a chance to bring him on campus due to the Covid restrictions and hope to change that in the upcoming semester!

Dr. Spiros Batas joined the University of Greenwich in September 2017. He holds his PhD in International Business and Strategy from the University of Edinburgh and was examined by Professor Jan Johanson of Uppsala University. He had previously gained an MSc in International Business and Emerging Markets from the University of Edinburgh.
