Giulia Galizzi has completed her PhD at the Chair of International Business in the Department of Marketing and International Business at the University of Vienna (Austria).

Her doctoral dissertation, entitled “Managing Network Embeddedness in Family Firms’ Internationalization,” was supervised by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Emmanuella Plakoyiannaki. Her research focuses on international business phenomena—such as internationalization across export stages—and on network dynamics, with particular attention to network embeddedness in the context of family firms. Methodologically, her work is firmly rooted in qualitative approaches, including case study research, process research, and historical analysis.
