Professor Marina Papanastassiou, University of Leeds, on " the Importance of Global Value Chains for international business.

Marina Papanastassiou is Professor of International Business at the International Business Division and at  the Centre for International Business University of Leeds (CIBUL).  She held previously appointments at Middlesex University, London, at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark and at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece.She has published in Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World BusinessManagement International Review, Research PolicyR&D Management, and International Business Review. She co-authored (with Robert Pearce) two books on “The strategic development of Multinationals; subsidiaries and innovation”, London: Palgrave MacMillan (2009) and on “Multinationals, Technology and National Competitiveness”, London: Edward Elgar Press (1999) whilst she edited with Emeritus Professor George Mergos a book on “Food Security and Sustainability: Investment and Financing along Agro-Food Chains”, London: Palgrave MacMillan (2017).   She has co-edited special issues for Management International Review, Transnational Corporations and Critical Perspectives on International Business.  She is a member of the editorial review board of the Journal of International Business Studies and a Fellow of the European International Business Academy (EIBA).
